Description: Light yellow crystalline powder, Specific Gravity 1.09,. It is soluble in alcohol, acetone, ethyl acetate and carbon disulfide, slightly soluble in benzene, gasoline, but insoluble in water.

Applications: DTBHQ is widely used in the synthetic rubber, plastics and resins industries in numerous ways. As an nontoxic, non-odor and non-polluted polymerization inhibitor in the plastics and resins industry, DTBHQ is successful, particularly in applications where inhibitors should exhibit low vapor pressure. As an antioxidant, DTBHQ provides good stability during processing and storage of unsaturated polyesters. In the synthetic rubber industry, DTBHQ is used predominantly as an antioxidant, stopping agent and colour stabilizer.

Advantages: DTBHQ is an efficient inhibitor with wide uses; sufficient solubility and chemical stability in solvents which should be soluble in polyester mutually; almost has non-influence to physical chemistry capability of solidified resins; small dosage can get a efficient result.
